Hello, had a kid in PE do this. Want to sign him up for track & field since this is the highest score someone got there. Is this any predictor of success in the jump events?
He hit 10’ as well but couldn’t maintain balance after.

Anything over 9’ is impressive. Especially for a 16 year old.
Illuminati confirmed
Well the 911 is a red flag. Maybe he is up to no good.
Allah akbar
Maybe triple. I actually think I've read that it is more of a predictor of sprint potential.
That's a decent standing broad jump. I wouldn't try to make any real predictions for any specific events, I'd just say try him out in some various power events: 100, 400, lj, tj, shot, hurdles. He showed a sign of athleticism, now figure out what event that athleticism translates to best for him.

Had 2 kids out over mid 9 one year in the same class. One went on to start on a college football team his freshman year in college and the other brought a bomb to school later that year.
Alright. Well see how he does during the 200m next week.
About 25 years ago. I had 2 kids go 10' in the same class. By far the best I ever saw. One got cut from the basketball team. I talked him into going out for track and he made the podium in both the 100 and 200 at the New England championships that year. Worst block starts I ever saw. The other became the captain of the UCONN basketball team and led them to their first national championship.
