All week, I've wanted to know how Sisson and Huddle compare and what their goals are for London. Well Jonathan Gault has talked to both in London (neither was invited to the press conference) and has the scoop.
It's interesting to see that Huddle, who has a 21-1 record versus Sisson, says she's "pretty sure" she's ready for London whereas she knows Sisson is ready to run fast.
"I think we’ll be able to run together for almost the whole race and then at the end, we’ll see what happens...I know it’s her first marathon, but she’s in really good shape. She’s really ready for it. I’m pretty sure I’m right there, but we’ll see."
Both are looking for low 2:20s.
Sisson has thrived on the marathon training bumping up the mileage to around 115 per week, and the transition has been seamless.
"My body felt better doing that training than doing maybe 90 miles a week and getting on the track twice a week," Sisson says.
Interesting to note that they only did 1 workout together during this buildup - a tempo run in London on Tuesday.
So make your predictions below. Who cross the lines first Huddle or Sisson and predict their times?
