I go to a big Division l college in California. I have had some success in track / cross-country, and one of the top guys on a stellar team.
There is this new girl who recently transferred to our school, on the Softball team. I have the biggest crush on her, and don't know how to properly approach her without seeming weird, or like "every other guy" who is looking to f***.
I genuinely could see myself liking this girl, and from what I've heard / seen about her personality, she is extremely sweet and also very good looking.
What I ask LetsRun.....how do I properly approach this girl, and what should I say? We have barely any mutual friends since she is new..and Softball and Track don't really mix...
The only time I will see her is around campus, where ill be with my team / she'll be with her team, or the case where we are both eating at the same time in the dining halls, with our own friend groups.
I've seen her by herself a couple of times (walking, eating, etc.), but never have had the guts to properly go up to her and introduce myself; even with her being new she'd probably enjoy that...
I think my main worry is that track and softball aren't known to mix, and I wouldn't want to get rejected and then have to keep seeing her around. She is really pretty, and I think I might have a decent chance if I just got to know her, but I really just don't want to create a shitty situation for myself.
We've never spoke, and any time we pass each other we will just make eye contact, but that's pretty standard for someone you pass on campus that you see around...
Never posted on LetsRun...just browse...but really need some opinions, and advice on what to do. Thank you
