I’ve been struggling recently with getting myself over the mental barrier of actually going out and racing an 800. So I said screw it, I’ll go down to the local track and just run the damn thing and get over myself. Ended up running 2:01.34, with the first 400 somewhere around high 58.
So question is, what kind of time could I run with competition around me? Obviously I slowed a good bit that second lap, but maybe with dudes around me I’ll have more drive that second lap, and maybe even pulled out faster the first lap.
Recent workouts:
4x200 w/ full recovery in 27, 25.9, 25.9, 25.7.
3x400 w/ 4 minutes rest in 58.5, 58.9, 59.9.
600, 90 seconds rest, 200 in 1:27.6, 29.6.
