How do I continue to PR after my freshman year in high school?
Currently:
30-33 Miles a week
5:00 flat 1600 pr
11:36 3200 pr (only ran a couple times and this was from the start of the season)
2:24 800 pr (didn't pace right lol)
What do I have to do to improve my time down to at least a 4:30 by senior year? What is necessary to go to a small D1 or a D3 program?
Thanks
A 4:30 mile is an outcome you can’t control, therefore, commit to a process you can control. Meaning, what are the intermediate steps required to take in order to increase the likelihood of the performance you desire. Also, why 4:30? Why not 4:35, 4:40, or heck, just breaking 5! Again, don’t set yourself up for failure by creating an uncontrollable outcome that may or may not be realistic. Instead, create process-oriented goals that will help you stay rooted in reality as you pursue your goal.
