It’s better tham cigarettes, sure but that doesn’t mean there are no complications involved. You might get away with it now, cigarette smoke will kill you faster than vape smoke but vape smoke is condensed liquid so it will leave liquid residue (mixed with the ingredients in the vape) in your lungs and make your lungs heavier over time by making them retain the water, how much of this you detox is down to genetics. If you have poor detox genes (referred to as MTHFR genes) then you will be affected by this issue faster, if you have quite good detox genes then you might even get away with vaping for a long time as long as you don’t go overboard.
Cigarette smoke doesn’t make your lungs retain water, it shrivels them and makes them black with tar instead. The affects vapes have are different than the affects vapes have so you cannot really compare the two.
Another couple of things to consider is that you are breathing in heavy metal emitted from the coil every time you vape, excess metal in the body can lead to mental issues and a confused immune system. Something to consider.
Another thing is that there are food flavourings in the vapes, because they are sweet your body will confuse this with sugar (but your insulin won’t smoke as much as eating actual sugar) so the metabolic affects are also something to consider, if you find yourself putting weight on dispite no changes in diet and exercise one day in the future then the consistant insulin spike of vaping through the day is most likely causing it.
Just warning you mate. Your body, you do what your want and 4:40 isn’t bad at all! Just out of interest; were you a cigarette smoker before you started vaping? If so, what were you PRs then? Or did you take up vaping without being a smoker, if so then what were your PRs pre-vaping?
This is an intresting discussion. I agree that e-cigarettes don’t really look that cool but I’d be lying if I said I haven’t tried them a couple of times and enjoyed them. They do taste nice but make sure you get the food grade liquids! I am an ex-smoker and on the rare occasion I have a few drinks, I always want a cigarette but vaping has came to my rescue there a few times! Vaping does affect my fitness personally, I do find it harder to breathe well while running ir hit my usual interval paces after vaping but that’s just me.
