What was the official report on wind at Boston? Head, Tail None? What were the overall conditions? Pretty ideal?

Barely noticeable tail wind and a bit hot after the clouds parted. At least it wasn't a headwind though
I think there was a tailwind but it sure didn't help me! The humidity and sun did me in after training all winter long in snow and freezing temps.

^^^ Exactly the same here:(
A slight tailwind can be awful on a hot day - it means that the air you heat with your body travels forward with you as you run, while a head or cross wind would strip it away.
? What were the overall conditions??[/quote]
Perfect ?
The weather wasn't too bad. I noticed a slight cross wind in some sections. I lost a few minutes over the last 5 miles having to slow down. Not sure if it was the heat or my quads were just done. I felt hot, especially towards the end when the sun came out more, and that was through the Newton hills. Not really ideal.
From talking to people after the race, more people seemed to have bad days than good. Many people had really good races though, so who knows?

Too bad the Marathon wasn't today. High in the mid 50s, slight tailwind, and no humidity. (sigh) New England.
I had a great day...2:47 for a 9 minute PR out of corral 4. It definitely got warm in the last five miles after the sun came out but the weather was nothing to complain about. Plenty of water from volunteers to dump on your face made it pretty manageable. Tailwind was the most dead on in Newton which was nice. Otherwise not really noticable.
If you were out early, the weather was probably pretty good except for the last few miles. If you are slower and out of a later wave (I know a lot don't care about this but some do), you were going to run the beginning in good weather but had a few hours of the heat and humidity followed by the pouring rain and cooler weather.
