World record is 3:02:50, American record 3:05:10. The catch here is they go by gun time not chip time for records, so it might be a toss up if she gets the American record. And is Boston record eligible?

At 61, she is 40 or so minutes slower than at her peak in her twenties. This site recently celebrated a male runner of 59 who, in running 2.29, was only 16 minutes off his peak. There's something a little odd with this picture. Should JBS be running 2.40xx?

JBS is also 35 minutes slower than a woman who has just run her best time - 2.29 - at 41. Why isn't JBS running pr's? She needs to get with the programme.
Because she doesn't train nearly as hard anymore?
Also you know people age at different rates.
