I would discuss terminating the pregnancy with her
Congrats!

That's it. Man up, support her and embrace it.
This is when you invoke the Hail Mary.
You tell her that you are really serious about her, that you think you love her, but that the right time to have a kid is when the two of you have built a more solid life foundation together, when you two are further along and more secure in your careers, when your both better suited to provide for a child, and that now is the time to focus on that, so let's get an abortion and then really start to focus and build our foundation together...
Then, after she's recovered from the abortion you slide out the side door, saying this whole experience has made you realize you're too young for a serious relationship.
Good luck.
So, how did it happen?
Did her birth control not work?
Did you pull out late?
Broken condom?
In any event, my advice is to be prepared to have a baby and love it for the rest of your life.
I had a teammate that got a girl pregnant at your age.
I remember the stress he went through that year.
I also saw how proud of his son he was as he grew up.
A few years ago his son died in military action and he’s totally heartbroken now.

In time you’ll learn to love it like it’s your own.

How inspiring. Maroon.
Congrats!
It’s a gift! There is never a perfect time to have a kid, so now is as good of a time as any!

0/10. You’re going to be a virgin for another six years.
Assuming she is less than 24 weeks, the fetus isn't even conscious yet. Killing it causes zero moral harm. If you didn't intend to make a baby, there's no good reason to not kill it.

I envy you, OP. So will most people, eventually.
I wasn't trying to be inspiring, just sharing a relatable story and showing how perspective changes.
Life is precious.
The guy doesn't have the tie breaking vote and should never try to convince a girl to have an abortion or even suggest it.
So it's best to own up to your responsibilities and be prepared to be a father.
If that happens, there will be a great journey.
Don't try to get a girl pregnant if you're not ready.
But if it happens, make the best of it.

Youre right, ultimately it is the womans decision about whether to keep it or not, but its possible to have an adult conversation about the possibility of abortion without pressuring her.
are you one of those people who preach about anti-abortion and the "miracle of life" yet completely ignore the thousands of foster kids and orphans that could use homes? If you really cared about children's lives you could stop preaching about the "miracle of life" on letsrun and actually help some children instead of being a behind the times keyboard warrior

Every night billions of people around the globe slip into unconsciousness and sleep. Do you also think it is moral to kill them?

If you really cared about children's lives you would support mandatory birth control for rights to welfare benefits.
Put a ring on it, and know that jamin is jealous of you.
And 7/10

You sound like a psyschopath. You're trying to guilt-trip OP into pressuring his girlfriend into having an abortion, and you're cloaking your psychopathy in moral language and guilt-tripping.
Why don't you adopt 10 orphans, or better yet, stay away from children and families entirely.
'If you don't pressure your girlfriend to have an abortion you're a bad person, OP. Trust me, I'm a compassionate person. Kill your baby, now.'

You have the reading comprehension of a 4 year old. I never said abortion was the right choice for OP, because I don't know his situation. Abortion is the right choice for many other young couples who will be spiraled into poverty after having a baby before theyre ready.
Quit your "i have compassion and save babies" bullshit. A blob of 128 cells cant feel anything.
So to me you sound like a psychopath trying to convince someone to make a decision that will stick with them for the entire rest of their life and cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars.
