It's a diary, not a dissertation.

For a first diary entry in months, it doesn't say very much, does it? Only about a line on Zurich.

Suzy writes she's lonely in Eurpoe because her husband isn't with her this time.

Too bad she can't find some NICE GUY like Steve Scott to keep her company!

How about showing some class guys? I thought since we all share a love of track and field that you might actually be interested when an elite runner writes down some thoughts about what goes on in their life. Like someone else said, its a diary....you don't need to analyze it to death, just appreciate it for what its worth.

Oh let's face it, the woman has the mentality of a 13 year old pre-pub cheerleader. Appreciate her for what she is, a remarkably talented runner with sometimes good, sometimes great, and sometimes poor results; definately not much else going on in the cranial zone.

While Suzy travels the globe and collects big coin for her looks and talent, most of you are sitting in cubicles watching your lives waste away. Now, who's the stupid one?

I agree, how many of you know her or any of the elite runners personally, I worked with her during the Waikiki mile and she was always well spoken, classy, and I think she's pretty damn smart to capitalize on her good looks, (how about Ms Anna Kournikova?) she also happens to be a damned good runner, being a plain Jane myself, I wish I had her looks and talent. One minute you slam the manly looks of one athlete then pick needlessly on a good looking one, give it a rest already.

Suzy defenders = Guys who still drool over her 1997 swimsuit calendar. They cry over the fact that nearly all the pages are now stuck together and pine away for the day when she will finally leave her sugar daddy (a.k.a. Mark, the big shot lawyer) and become available.

Geez, get over her. At her best, she's good to look at -- but still a ditzy blonde moron.

And a big-race choker too. Hmmm...She runs great in Europe but always implodes at the championship meets. Considering the drug conspiracy mentality of this forum's posters, I'm completely amazed that people don't accuse Suzy-Q of being on the juice. (After all, choking in the big races certainly takes the spotlight off, eh?)

Once again let me clear up some things for u rocket scientists here. Suzy is very pretty, that is undeniable, but she hasn't done a modeling gig or commercial(save the Nike one in '00 because Phil Knight personally asked her) in 5 years. She moved back to WI-has become very serious since she moved back and the results have shown. It is too bad that alot of people are jealous of her looks, ability, etc. So u find a part of her that u think is a weakness and hammer her on it. You people do it to everyone here. You don't have to kiss athletes with great ability and accomplishments ass, but atleast give them the respect they deserve for going out everyday and pushing themselves to achieve greatness. And FYIMark rarely practices, Suzy is the suga-momma, not the other way around.

You know, I don't think people begrudge Suzy for her wholesome good looks or her running talent....

it is more of a case that there are SOME THINGS in this world that are better seen than heard.

She's got a great package, but I for one would appreciate her more if she never spoke or wrote her "thoughts" in an internet diary. For a woman in her mid 30's, she is incapable of coming across as anything that resembles an adult. Intellectually it appear that she resembles a Britney Spears rather than a Margaret Thatcher and that's ok........

but don't give me this crap that she deserves respect because she is intellectual or "classy" cause if she were either of those two things - you wouldn't have to plug it, we would know it by now; especially after more than a decade of tv interviews that haven't evolved much past the famous "I dedicate my race to my dog Otis who died last week".
