I'm not sure. However, in Oregon, androgel is rubbed on Kenyan and Ethiopian ribs.
Thanks but I don't that's it. The sauce I am interested in really like, like a light oil.

^Most likely this. However, char siu sauce is put on pork ribs- the reddish bite sized chunks you see at the deli.
