If someone poops on a marathon course, is there anyone to pick it up before other runners step in it?

If it happens in San Francisco they have poop-cleaner-uppers getting major money to clean up the poop. Not sure about other cities.

How much do they make?
Wouldn't the person who pooped be there to pick it up since it came out of their @ss?

Confirmed
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6I2-YP42rsAt my first boston in 2011 my son was 5. at mile 24 or so a reasonably fast runner dropped a load in the road (based on my wifes analysis he must have been a 2:40 guy or so). my son and his best friend at the time saw this happened and couldn't get enough of it. for the next 25 mins they rolled in laughter and joy as runner after runner stepped in it. apparently i just barely dodged it. so i guess Boston doesn't have a sh!t-picker-upper. he still talks about this.

Actually, at the San Franshitsco Marathon, it's encouraged.
Like most problems people don’t want to deal with, it probably just gets kicked down the road.

Another reason NOT to do Boston

Ok, i'd be like the 5 year old....reading the story made me laugh out loud!
I think the poop-cleaner-uppers in the city make about $75,000 annually. Not sure if they can work overtime.
No, dumb ass.

Nike Vaporfly 4%’s stepping in doggy doo is awesome!!!!
I only run on horse trails. If I have to take a dump, I just wait until I see a pile of horsesh1t and add to the pile. Nobody worries about cleaning that up.

When you squat over it, how do you make sure your own feces land on top of it? Also, won’t your feces be a different color and shape than the horse’s feces? I don’t know about you but when I drop a load, often there is some force and pressure to it, so it doesn’t always land directly beneath, often it shoots 3ft to the side of where my rear was.

3ft??? Do you have to have a special extra wide toilet in your house? Or do you just use a kiddy pool?
The Paula poo ended up on Ebay, so someone picked it up.
Fcking disgusting, it's not even legal to post sh*t like that through the mail.
What about Kempainen puking all over the finish area of the Olympic Trials marathon? Unsuspecting runners were going right through that. Maybe not as bad, but still...yuck.
