Yes, I get the same thing. When I set my treadmill to 8:00 pace, my Forerunner shows roughly 8:00 pace. When I speed up the treadmill to 7:30 or 7:00, my Garmin stays about the same or even shows a slower pace. I don't know if it's based on the accelerometer, cadence * your average stride length, or a combination. Mine is the Forerunner 235 which only has a generic indoor running setting.
On the indoor track it's actually pretty accurate, averages about 0.97 or .98 miles per actual mile run. I bet if I wore it on my right wrist it might get pretty close to true.
I have a Sole F80, still can't get it calibrated well enough to do any fast workouts on it... tried carefully measuring the belt length and counting revolutions, measuring the roller diameter with calipers, going by heart rate and my Forerunner on indoor setting - nothing seems to jive. Anyone had success using a footpod on the treadmill to get what they felt was an accurate reading?
