Hey all, first time posting. I've found it super easy to get lost in reading all of your comments, so I figured I'd throw this question out there for you all to answer since it is apparent I am far less of a runner than most!
I am trying to find just the right shoe for short, faster running (I am be no means a star here, maybe like 7:00/mi up to 5k). I want to have some amount of cushion, so I don't want to go to a pure, or even a close, racing flat.
I am currently trying out some Zoom Fly Flyknits, but I can't help thinking that I may be putting too much shoe on for this need. I am also trying out a pair of Kinvara 9s, which feel a lot lighter, but honestly, don't have the magically feel of the ZFFK.
For reference, I am doing my regular running (again not a star, 3-6 miles) in the NB Beacon, which is awesome.
Any thoughts / recommendations? I am positive I am now in analysis paralysis about this simple choice, there's just so many good-sounding options out there. I'm willing to try anything (Floatride Run Fast, Skechers Razor 3, etc.).
Many thanks!
