a lot of times you hear of kids in high school who never ran, but somehow "discovered" their ability to run a good 400-800m...
is the 800 meter run mainly about being simply athletic or does it take specific training to get fast?
just wondering...because you never hear of kids who run a 4:10 mile their first time out..but u do hear of kids running 1:55 in the 800 when they hit the track
