Looking for D2 schools on east coast. Frequently, but maybe not always, go to nats for xc. Most importantly their runners improve.

Most D2 schools are low academically. It is one step above JUCO. Look at D3 programs instead.
Not sure my grades are solid enough. I have a weighted gpa of 4.15 and a mile time of 4:35. Good enough for D2 but I have no idea where to even start with D3 or if anyone would even take me.
Check out Wartburg. Great program and only takes a 3.5 gpa to get in.
When did Wartburg move to the East Coast? OP should look at schools like Ithaca.
Catholic University and Stevenson University are East Coast D3 programs headed in the right direction. You would have no problem getting into them with your grades and would likely get a good amount of academic money.

The best DII Cross Program close to the east cost is Queens University of Charlotte. Their men’s program has qualified to the NCAA Cross Championships 5 years in a row and have placed 6th and 9th the last two years. Their #1 runner was a 16:15 guy out of high school and now runs 14:25 on the track and was 20th place at cross country nationals. And they just had two milers go #1 and #2 at the NCAA track and field national championships
There is no way, given the current status (stacked) that a 435 kid is being welcomed by the coach.
Are you sure?
I went to Western when we were winning d2 titles. I had run a similar mile time as the OP. I wasn't just welcomed, Coach V called me weekly during the "recruiting phase".
Different coaches have different philosophies. Both Western and Adams have always had very open walk-on standards. I don't know what Queen's roster looks like, but if they aren't welcoming on 4:30 types, they are dumb.
Title IX has crushed men's rosters.
I agree that Wartburg would be a great fit if you're looking to improve. They had more distance entries in this weekend's national meet than all the D3 teams you mentioned combined.
American International College has one of the best D2 programs in the Northeast

Queens Develops runners and will guide each individual to reach their potential. Whether that be 4:20 or 4:00. That’s what they do.
don't count out mid major d 1.
Just go look regional xc rankings, and look that the schools. If you find a school with a lot of seniors odds are they are a good program. It will be tougher to go to nationals, but the competition will be better, and you'll be able to be competitive in your conference, but still have the chance to go to D-1 nationals. Mid major is the way to go, plus you can still find good academics school.
What are you talking about? Many D1 teams are loaded with 14 minute 5k guys but they have no chance to go to nationals. This guy can’t make a team that has any chance to go to nationals.
go to ESU yo.
I wouldn't go to BFP unless you want to identify as a woman
The guy asked about D2; give him D2 suggestions instead of changing the subject to D3.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
