Things you may need to know: I am a freshman in college, running both T&F and XC. I have never been very injury prone, as I eat healthily and take proper care of myself, but I have never run above 65 miles in a week. I have also never had a very successful buildup period in the summer because of the constant heat (and humidity) and poor planning on my part. This summer I would like to hit 100 miles for at least 1 week (with a Long Run of 25 miles). As a general rule for this training period, I would like 3 buildup weeks per one taper week (reduced mileage, usually 5 mi over the first buildup week). For example: 40 miles, 50 miles, 60 miles, 45 miles. Preferably, I will hit a 100 mile week around week 12-14 in my training plan. I am seeking advice (because I know LR is full of lifetime runners) in how I can most effectively and safely hit 100 miles for a week, so, if some of you would be so kind as to write me out a tried and true training plan for at least 1 100 mile week, it would be greatly appreciated.
TL;DR - Any helpful 100 mile week buildup training plans you guys know of? Within the margins of 12-14 weeks, starting @ 40/45 miles.
