Hi, I'm a junior male in high school. I'm 5'9'' and 144 lbs. I discovered XC and Track sophomore year, and I really want to run at a college level. Currently, my PR's are as follows:
400m: 1:01
800m: 2:19
1000m: 2:50
1600: 4:51
3200: 11:11
5000m XC: 18:01
This outdoor season, I plan on doing more speed work, focusing mainly on the 800m at invitational meets, and the 200m and 400m at smaller meets. I'd like to drop down to these times:
400m: 57
800m: 2:10
1600m: 4:45
Coming off of the indoor season, my training is focused mainly on getting in shape for spring, easy miles, tempos, and fartlek's, with some hill work as well. I'm averaging about 30 miles this week.
Is there any chance of me running in college, and by this I am shooting for a good D3 school at the moment, and will reconsider my options depending on how much I improve senior year, if at all.
I really want this.
