Pursuit has “crystal rubber” outsole. Significantly stiffer. More responsive.
Solas is a Gym shoe having a highly flexible midsole fused to outsole. It serves it's customer by being slipper like comfy.
With all that flexy/comfy there's not going to be anywhere near the response of a Pursuit. What are your uses? I think NB's best right now for tempo(under 10miles) is 1400v6. It's got good width/traction and upper breaks in nicely. Beacause of its weight you can take it to the track also.
So Solas is more along the lines of a Nike Free? Main purpose is daily type trainer, can go uptempo or mid-long. Have been in Boston for that, can do either workouts or easy runs in them. Don't need something for track repeats, have racers for that.
