Hello, I do not know why, but I have run 55 second 400, 24.9 200, and a 4:49 mile. But my 800m pr is 2:15.
My training is about 14mpw with 8x400, 5x6min as the main workouts but usually striders after the workouts.

Your 800m is what I would suspect from your other PBs and how you are barely training. Want to improve your 800? Stop being lazy and put in the mileage.
there are runners running 2:09 with same 400 and slower mile
I would like advice

You could either have bad lactic tolerance or just execute 800m poorly, which is easy to do.
Like the 1st guy said though, your biggest problem is overall fitness. You can worry about lactic acid-specific training if you still have it when you actually put some work in. 30mpw minimum and you will be faster at every single event. Don't bother with workouts if you're not running 30-35mpw.
I know why. You are a twink
your mile predicts a 2:15 800 and your 400 predicts a 2:02 800 which means your are lacking in endurance. Work on Intervals and threshold efforts.
examples?
5x (3 mins easy and 3 mins hard @85-90% of your speed)
3-5miles at 6flat pace or faster
15-30mins at 5:30 pace
3xmile (5:10-5:30)repeats with 5mins rest/jog

There is no logical explanation. It would be impossible for a 2:15/4:49 guy to run 55.
I agree. Go out in 62 and no way you are going to run 73 on your second lap because that is slower than mile pace. Something is not correct in what you are conveying.
you say that but my 200m time shows that it is possible.
i will try this, not exactly 62 but going out very hard vs the slow positive spilt i usually do
also i would have thought my 800m pr would be much faster, early indoor season we did 8x200m and i did them in 29-30, so i do think i am underperforming a bit.
thank you xcrunner
Hi, I have roughly the same mile PR, a slightly slower 400m PR, and my 800m PR is 2:07. My splits are 31-31-32-33, so that's what you're aiming for. I run 25mpw, and cycle 60mpw in a good week.
It's blatantly obvious - pitiful mileage.
You mile is not good either to be compared to your 200/400
62 is not hard for a 55 guy. You should be able to comfortably go out 5 seconds slower than your 400 which is 60. I am starting to think that you haven’t run a real 55 but maybe a fake split or you wouldn’t call a 62 hard.
i would not consider a 62 very hard, for all my 800m races i have ran 65 plus the first 400, for next race i will go out in 62 like i have been recommended.
And now i will bump my mileage by doing a 4 miler in the evening plus 4x100m strides.

Very true. I am an actual 2:15/4:49 (Exact Prs!) and I can only run a 61 400m....

first. you don't have a good 400, 800 or mile
second a 2:15 makes sense for a 55 400 guy
third. to run a better 800 you either need to be a better runner. both in speed and in endurance
