Lol Olympians are lifting four or five times that...20 reps at 205 indicates a max bench of maybe 350? If he can double that he starts to enter the conversation.
1. There' s no bench press in the Olympics.
2. He's not bench pressing. This is a decline press with his butt off the bench.
3. 205x20 isn't particularly good. I mean, it's decent for a beginner like him, but there will be 25 non-athletes in my college gym this afternoon who can do more.
I suspect you posted this to ridicule him. I like him and and don't want to make fun of him, but to answer your question, that's a big nope.

The late great Greg Kovaks did not do Olympic lifts but he was 420 pounds and could do like behind-the-neck military presses for reps at close to 500 pounds.

And that guy next to him who he dwarfs is Jay Cutler, who I believe has won Mr. Olympia.

Kovacs wife used to have to wipe him, using a towel. That must have been included in the vows upfront.
I'd estimate Ryan Hall is about 180 lbs. His dead-lift from what I have seen is about 405 (probably can do a little more now, I would imagine?).
That's not that impressive, at all.
His chest strength seems to be more advanced, comparatively speaking. I'm curious what his maximum bench press is. As another user said, his form is really off, and he's pretty much doing it incorrectly/easier his method. I imagine he can bench press at least around 275. That's decent, although maybe for his weight not that impressive in all actuality.
I'm curious how much he squats/front squats, now...
You are forgetting that Ryan is probably 165 , not 400 pounds and is clean. 205 is basically what they bench at the NFL combine and very few under 200 pounds do 19.9 reps.

Actually, at the combine they do reps at 225.

A 405 deadlift is pretty impressive especially for a former runner. I would really be impressed if he can do that.

No way Ryan is deadlifting 405. No way.
Is he lifting the bar high enough? Towards the end when he is resting a little between reps he seems to push up all the way but leading up that it doesn't look to me like he's pushing the bar up high enough.
NFL combine is 225. Here is Gronk at the 2010 combine. He does 23 reps. Arms lock at the top.

Also, is Ryan clean? Isn't he taking a testosterone supplement now?
First of all, weightlifting includes the snatch, and clean and jerk. Ryan is benching. There's no benching in the Olympics
Secondly, look at how high his butt is off the bench! None of those reps count, 0.

Sump wrestlers have the same problem. The new guy in training camp gets to be the wiper.

You are clueless. The raw record is 738lbs and the Russian who owns it weighs a few pounds short of 400lbs in bodyweight.
The record for someone who is close to Ryan's weight(163-183lbs) is 490-540lbs.
350 max would be a really good lift for someone in that weight range and new to lifting but he is cheating those reps with that form and going to have bad back problems.

20x205 should mean he can max close to 340. He's cheating the reps with leg drive though so a lot less realistically

405 with straps and a rolling start.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BoehuHOBVWZ/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheetMy guess is his bench is around 250 and squats around 300, maybe 315. Depends on if he is running much.
Just shows you that anyone with time and training can become mediocre at something.
Don’t be impressed. HS Freshman his size are pulling that much. Granted those are some very gifted HS freshman.
As a comparison I’m a “former runner” and over 40 and lift as much as him. Granted his marathon best is 28min faster lol.
Why is he DLing in his living room with sh!tty weights?
Alan
But could Hall run sub 3 right now?
This guy....triple bw DL (465) and a sub 3 in the same year.

Those first 17 reps are partials. He doesn’t even come close to lockout and then comes waaaay down his belly with some crazy arched back and butt waaaay off the bench.
I love ego lifting.
