What is your longest running streak (consecutive days)? What made you stop?
Isn't a rest day important?

99 days was my longest. I missed the 100th day because my wife went into labor before I had a chance to get a run in.
Quote:
Hill did not miss a day of running between 20 December 1964 and 30 January 2017 – a total of 52 years and 39 days.
I ran every day of 2017 and then maintained the streak until about this time last year so about 400 days in a row.
I ended the streak when I had a couple of very late nights at work and one night the clock struck midnight ending my streak.
I’m glad I made it for a full year but I’d never do it again. I had some stupid runs in there trying to keep the streak alive.
I remember I once ran every single day from April 5, 2007 to April 6, 2007.
I stopped, because on April 6, 2007, I realized I could no longer improve, I was as good as I could ever be.
I never ran again.
I don't think I have ever run more than 21 days in a row or something. I usually almost always miss a day here or there.
I bet I could beat 98% of the people on this site in any race shorter than a 10k though :) (but that's not saying much cause so many are old)
100 days...then an injury occurred.

It's true, we're old. I began posting here back in January 1970. Marathons weren't even invented yet, and most people still had hooves.
