Just wanted to fire this question out, haven't really been able to get a consensus, and wanted some feedback.
I'm in the start of a cycle, (Half-marathon). When performing tempo runs, should I use my last race to calculate my tempo pace (last HM was in late Oct.) or should I use my goal pace to calculate my tempo. The difference amounts to about 10-15s/mile. I live on the east coast Canada, and with family dynamics/weather, often have to do my tempos on a treadmill. Setting the right pace early is important for not only the workout as a whole but being able to finish it properly.
