I'm nervous about this. She has a chance to become the female Usain Bolt in terms of the world records and years of dominance. This is the first time we have seen real chinks in the armor.
This is shockingly refreshing to see a well reasoned and informed take on this board. You are ? correct.
The reason for running NBIndoor Games is NB wants to get some press out of their high price hurdler.
She is a teenager in a new job. Letting her grow into it rather than get thrown into the fury of WR attemps at events outside her main event seems to be a prudent choice.
Having her run the 400H and some 400 legs on the medley relays this outdoor season may well be the best way to showcase the NB Roster this year .
This.
She's there for her benefit, not the voyeurs on letsrun.
You may be entertained, but for her its a racing career. She needs to prepare the best way for her, physically and mentally.
She should get no criticism from the joggers on letsrun. She's not a distance runner, stay in your lane. :-)
Good for her

She sounds soft. Doesn't want competition in practice or in races.
Admit it, you are a mouth breather?

She’s literally a teenager. If she expects to have a long, healthy, competitive career, she shouldn’t rush it.
Sounds like she took a step back to reevaluate her career direction. An indoor race in January is about as meaningful as tempo run.
Interesting how she, Centro and Brazier have reset their coaching situation at the critical juncture for the Olympic cycle.
BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER.
Like any teenager she needs teammates, fun, excitement.
And a cause bigger than herself in those non-Olympic years.
Oregon, Florida, LSU, Villanova, etc.
The pursuit of NCAA Championships on a team and individual basis
for at least 2 yrs. would have exposed her to the team, teammate, camaraderie etc. situations.
Somehow a young person should experience the team aspect instead of being
like a pro golfer or pro tennis player who are one man teams........ With maturity one could handle that
but at a younger age she should be trying to win for her school and her friends who
are her teammates........
ONE IS A LONELY NUMBER.
SM is the savior of US track and field.
Why wouldn’t a hack like Jonny Gault tap into the opportunity?

Agreed. She should have picked a school with legitimate NCAA title hopes and stayed there. I believe her alternate choice was USC, which she visited. Sydney would have put USC over the top, without need of that desperate Kendall Ellis rally. Plus she would have already been in Los Angeles a year earlier.
She clearly needs a PR person, why talk about the past at all, who cares? What does she get out of saying anything negative about Kentucky or Floreal? All she did was lose friends and trust by mentioning anything negative about her time at UK. I get being transparent, but this is only her side of the story. Maybe if we asked Floreal or anyone else would worked with/worked out SM, they might have different of opinion. I know she's a teen and a star, but wow, NB needs to get it together right away.
She did not pick the race Hayes did, Hayes asked meet organizer to keep it low key as Syd/they just wanted a test run. Easy to do with a meet like this but as the season rolls on the won't have this luxury of a cherry picked field for test runs.
Hayes is a bit of control freak and maybe looking for a little bit recognition with her new star pupil.

Who would be? It's GD Kentucky.
Parts of KY are great.....Louisville and parts of Lexington. The Bluegrass area of KY is very beautiful. It’s not the ignorant backwater many claim it to be....well large parts are but we don’t travel there on purpose.
