Does anyone know anything about the d3 Colorado college in Colorado springs? Currently weighing my college options. I'm a fairly good student (31 ACT, 3.8 GPA) and an average runner. would love some info.

I've researched the school and talked to the coach. Coach seems like a nice person but I just decided I'm not going to the middle of the country for running am instead staying closer to home. Sorry can't help more but good luck.
The school has produced some decent distance runners (by D3 standards) in the past but it generally isn't very competitive on the national scene. There are some fantastic running opportunities in Colorado Springs, though. You'd be hard-pressed to find a school at any level with better access to amazing mountain trails. It is a pretty strong school academically, too. Your ACT and GPA are probably close to the median of accepted students, so you'd have a pretty good shot at getting in.
If you want to be surrounded by fast teammates and have a hard science bent, I'd recommend applying School of Mines instead. (Although Golden doesn't really compare to Colorado Springs in terms of trails, IMO.)
