I saw this random guy slowly jogging today, and he was wearing an NOP t-shirt! I don’t get it, do hobbyjoggers think that it makes them look like a serious runner? Or do they just think the skull logo looks cool? Discus.

Maybe the same reason people wear NFL or NBA jerseys. Don't be a total tool.

Are you the hobbyjogger I saw wearing the NOP t-shirt? If so, you should be honored. You have a thread about you on letsrun!
Letsrun Hobby Racer: Why aren't people fans of professional running and track and field?
Letsrun Hobby Racer on seeing a running fan wearing a team shirt: OMG HOBBYJOGGER!!!! NERD NERD!!
I run D1, I’m not a “hobby racer”. ?
It just seems like a NOP t-shirt is a weird thing to wear, with all the shady stuff going on there. Or do hobbyjoggers not know about the doping?
Yeah, I've noticed that NOP gear is big among those who present as part of the "hypebeast" crowd so they probably just think the skull/design/pricetag/swoosh is cool.

When you see somebody wearing a Seahawks Jersey, do you wonder "how can that person wear that Jersey when that team has two convicted wife boaters on their starting roster?"
Because I do. I wouldn't wear either. But the Seahawks is cut and dry: they do participate in beating up their wives/girlfriends, it is a legal fact. At least with NOP, we dont know for certain, it just looks likely they cheat. There is more room for the person wearing the shirt to say "I dont believe they are cheating."
Do members of your family wear shirts supporting your school?

Why do random people wear Lakers or Bears jerseys?
PS-25:xx for an 8k is definitely hobbyracing.
You sure do mention the fact that you’re D1 a lot.............
Ok: responding to the two above posts
“D1 Hobbyracer”: I’m a girl, I so I don’t race 8k.
“Uhhhhh”: With so many anonymous users, I have no clue how many people actually remember me. Just providing some context.
Now that the “LoneStarXC Q&A” is out of the way, let’s get back to discusing NOP year. ?

Autocorrect hates me.
Can’t someone just show support for a team/organization? Do we have to judge everyone we see running slower than us?

I guess the question I meant was more, “why do people wear NOP gear, when the NOP is doping?”
Maybe I’ll register one day I’ve been on this site way too long..
My guess would be they know Galen Rupp and that’s about it

You'll either be a hobby jogger or a quitter in a few years, so better get used to it.
also, 0/10/ Lame thread.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
