In about 7 weeks I have a physical fitness test for Marines officer candidate school. I would like to run below 18 minutes for the 3 miles.
Info about my running:
-I have been running about 30 mpw since September of last year.
-My fastest 3 miler was 18:55 about a month ago.
-Over winter break I injured my MCL, I have been cross training on the elliptical every day about 60 min for two weeks, it is mostly healed. I’m ready to start running again.
What will be the most effective interval workouts to increase my speed? What pace should I be doing these workouts at?
