I would agree with Alan Webb valiant effort in the 2005 1500m, because
he's Alan Webb and a hard worker.
But then again I would say 1981 NYC Marathon, not being shorted, for
all the runners (A.Salazar and A.Roe) involved because 1981 was a vintage year.
Another, would be Gerry Lindgren's 1964 mile race (as a senior) "while competing
in a Jamaica T&F meet ran his mile best of 4:01.5", could've run under four
minutes but most gracious in letting Jim Ryun dominate that distance.
Jim Ryun in the '72 Olympics. I guess the change would be that he would have been placed in the final after the foul. I think most reasonable people believe he was the favorite to win gold. Would have LOVED to have his name listed there.

I would go back to the evening after Stage 16 of Le Tour in 2006 and wake Floyd up when he fell asleep with the testosterone patch on his sack so he would have been able to complete (and win) stage 17 with "normal" doping levels that he wouldn't have gotten popped for.

I would have changed the weather for Boston last year so that we would have legitimate champions.

Salazar fall down instead of Rodgers, and drop out. Rodgers wins, Nijboer sneaks by Gomez for second. Nijboer takes the WR in 81, after insisting the course be re-measured months in advance so it will be valid.
