I’m a junior boy from California XC PR is 16:11 5k. As I go in to track this will be the first year I run in spikes I don’t feel totally comfortable in them should I stick to flats. advice very appreciated thanks

Try out the spikes on a treadmill before using them in a race.
Please learn to write propery when you post, you’re a high school junior for fuks sake.
And don’t be a pusssy, with your 5k time, you should be comfortable in spikes, especially on a nice bouncy track. Get a pair of Matumbo 3s.
You'll be fine. Start with 1/8 maybe. Pay attention to the facility spike policy. You will be fine and don't try on treadmill that's the dumbest thing I have read in a while.
