Here’s my PR’s from freshman year
3 mile: 16:22 5k: 17:10 3200m: 10:16 1600m: 4:48. Sophomore PR’s 3 mile: 15:23 5k:15:45. I run 50 mpw I don’t run Sunday’s and I don’t weight lift. I need to get 9:30 for 3200m and sub 4:30 1600m. Any diet ideas please anything will help?!?!
You're totally fine. 9:30 is harder than 4:30, but if that 5k course is legit you're there. I'm also a sophomore, I was faster on the track as a freshman but I battled some injury issues this XC season.
Just don't do workouts too early or burn yourself out. Clearly what you are doing works. I'd recommend some sort of core work/plyos if you aren't doing anything besides running though.
