Gary Pepin to Stanford. You heard it here first.

Well they fired the sprint guy, not sure when. I assume all 3 will be announced soon. Tatijana is already on the staff directory. For the other person wondering who apparently doesn't have google, she was an assistant at UGA who worked with multis and high jumpers. Good place to learn the multi's, I'd say. From Ohio, jumped at EMU, so knows the situation of a MAC school.
What did the sprint guy get fired for?
Not sure.
No way. Too old. He will not bust his legacy up and leave the huskers. They will go more distance focused.

Yeah you're right, I think we've had enough of Devin.
No marter how much you reply it still doesn’t make me him. Nor do you get back whatever you’re angry about. Lol! Did you get cut from the team? Poor girl
Devin, being called a girl isn't an insult. You should know that since you coach women.
I strongly disagree. A sure way to getting a program back to where it belongs is to hire a hall of famer. Money talks.
Any updates on the Miami job?

which smith?
Martin Smith.
Interesting, 3 of these names were on iowa state staff at some point (Smith, Ihmels, Grove-McDonough)
How old is Martin? 66? 67? I would imagine Stanford would want to make a hire with the goal of having this person around for a while.

Andrea to Toledo...
Franklin, Smith, possibly Ihmels to Stanford.
Northwestern trying, but XC only is a huge problem.
I think Andrea might go for Clemson first. She had a taste of the P5 after UCONN and Toledo would feel like high school.
Northwestern is killing off track program and will never have men due to title 9. Expect old timer trying to retire.
Stanford order is McGuire, Martin, Ihmels, Franklin, and Powell’s.

Clemson would be a great fit for Andrea because I don’t believe she works well as the head of the distance groups, would work well under Elliot. However, I don’t think Andrea is what he’s looking for.
Why not
Stanford order is McGuire, Martin, Ihmels, Franklin, and Powell’s.

Stanford’s wish list:
1) Vin Lananna - The job is Vin’s if he wants really it. But I don’t think he wants it.
2) McGuire - Stanford is a perfect fit for him. Women’s program would improve.
3) Franklin - Would be an interesting hire. He would either be a big hit or a huge flop.
4) Ihmels - If the top 3 don’t work out, look for Ihmels to win by default.
anyone happen to know anything about Kevin Paterson from Benedictine (Ill.)? doubtful but curious about his system and other things. don't like to judge solely from tfrrs/milesplit.

Judge away, except he is not at Benedictine anymore. Took his career to Lenoir-R.
Stanford should hire Petros away from UGA. He would kill it there.

Clemson does not invest in distance. Why would she go there?

Yeah I know that's where he is. That's why I was asking lol
No way on earth Stanford can afford him
Not Martin. Dave Smith.
Who’s to say? They didn’t invest in throws until the past two years, maybe they’ll start putting money in Distance.
Trying to be as inconspicuous as the stealth bomber on radar, Beth Alford Sullivan quietly came to Palo Alto this weekend, watched the Pre Meet in the hospitality tent, had an informal interview with a Stanford assistant AD, and flew back to Knoxville. She wants the Stanford job badly!
