How doe the Asics DS-Trainer shoe compare to the Nike Zoom Elite? I really like the DS-Trainers and am considering trying the Zoom Elites out. According to the descriptions they seem to be pretty similar shoes.

The heel of the Elite is a bit higher and if feels a little softer. I think the DS feels more like a fast shoe and the Elite feels more like a trainer.
come on, you can't be serious. you are wasting precious space on the information-super-highway for a question like this. if you have shoes that you like and they have worked for you, why would you change. they are shoes for christ sake. geb could get a pair of running shoes from kmart and win a marathon. your shoes don't matter much, your training does. stop wasting time posting this nonsense.
the above comparison is exactly correct. I have the Zoom elites now.

I would also agree. I've had both, worn both for many many miles, and you took the words straight from my mouth. Actually liked the Elites a little better, not because they feel more like a trainer, but because of the fit. DS trainers seemed very narrow and overall just small. Both are great shoes though.
I have had both and I found the elites to be too high and too soft. After one run my knees were hurting.I nver wore them again
"are you serious": this is what "running" boards are made for! You don't have to read the thread!
Everyone else: thanks for the helpful feedback.
I use the DS-Trainers, I have put on the Elite and they feel the same the DS-Trainers. If I were you, I'd stick to the shoe that is working for you now. I like my DS-Trainers, I love 'em. Back in the old days I wore Gel Kayano and they were the heaviest mofo's u could find... switching to the light trainers stop my injuries and made my life better.
ive worn 3 pairs of elites and 2 of ds trainers and elites have the best ride i feel but after awhile i wanted to go for a more racer-type feel and ds trainers were quite good but took me a week to get used to them, good shoe to transition to flats..
