I'm 17 (going on 18) and hoping to break 4 minutes for 1500 this summer. I have ran steeples until now, so that is the reason i'm posting this thread that i know you all hate. I ran 54.15 for ten mile road at christmas, and 4.11 indoor (on my own) in february. I m issed last summer through injury and my pb from 2 years ago is 4.08. What i want to know is if i'm capable of breaking 4 minutes within the next month (doing 40 approx miles a week, 50 during winter) Here are some of my recent workouts:::
-today- 4x200 with 5 mins rest= 26.3,26.5,26.7,27.01
-monday- 2x600 with 13 mins rest= 1.30,1.31
Last saturday-2x400, 2x300, 2x200 with lap jog(3 mins) between all= 61,60,44,44,28,28
Tuesday before-(4x400) with lap jog recover(2.15-2.45)=all 62
and (600,400,200) times 2 with lap between runs and 7-9 minutes between all sets=1.39,64,29.
