The Nike Victory XC 3 is the best XC spike ever, worn by NXN champs for the past 4 years and many front runners in both NXN and the NCAA meet. Th newer model, the forever xc is almost an ounce heavier and the only time i've ever seen it used is at NXN when they're given away for free.
I agree that victory xc 3s are amazing, I think Nike really dropped the ball with that stupid sock design in the xc4. I don't think its super common for them to sell older models but some alternatives are :
1) look online, I was able to get a pair of them for pretty cheap ($45) on ebay.
2) Go for matumbos, since the they're pretty similar design I know a lot of people that wear them for 10k cross (on legit, muddy cross courses)
The best xc spike ever made was the matumbo. Just look at what all the best NCAAs runner wear.

Those are gone forever; but you'll be excited to see what Nike has on tap for next xc season...very reminiscent of the Vic XC 3 with an upper that is very revolutionary. Just a wear tester, so no skin in the game; but these I'm talking about are pretty great.
The mambo is great, but I was more talking about specifically XC spikes.
