Any insight to why TFRRS is converting all times run on 200m tracks to a 300m track equivalent for the national performance lists? It's always been the other way around.
This is especially prevalent on the D2 and NAIA lists where they did not convert the qualifying time standards accordingly.
D2 Coaches are driving this to inflate some insecurity their athletes are sensing... remember, they lost a lot of their best runners to D1 year after year because of lack of respect by the run community.
It’s bc Nationals is on a 300m Track. They also convert to what ever the size of the track will be at nationals whether it be 200m bank or 300m.

1. They have never done this in the past.
2. The time standards were not changed to reflect a 300m equivalent.

But they have done this in the past, just go look at last year’s list...
I think the last time nationals was on a flat 200m track was March 2012 in Mankato. If you ran on a 300m or a 200m banked, times would get converted up to reflect the track at nationals.
And why would there need to be rules on this? All it’s trying to do is put everybody’s time on a level playing field for the sake of qualifying for nationals.
You're right about them doing this the last few years, I was mistaken. Back when I ran they always standardized to 200m.
I brought this up mostly because the NAIA is now using the same method as D2, but didn't adjust their qualification times from previous years.
The NAIA is an error which they may or may not fix
When all the small schools get their 300m tracks built, the large schools will tear out their 300m tracks and replace them with a 400m!!
Probably should just build a retractable dome over their current outside track and use it for both.
