First time caller, long time listener. Quick question about racing flats:
I started running and racing regularly about four months ago and I've comfortably settled in around 30 - 35 MPW. I have a pair of Streak LT4s that I use for track workouts and tempos on the road, but my calves just get REALLY sore after I run in them — sometimes it's worse on the second day.
For those with experience with the Streaks and/or other racing flats, is this par for the course? And can I expect the soreness to decrease the more workouts I do/the stronger my legs get?
I like how minimal and responsive the Streaks feel during faster runs, but I'm considering just my everyday trainers (Peg 35s) for workouts as the soreness I experience affects my ability to run well for days after.
