6 foot 2, 197 pounds ran a 3:29:45 marathon a month ago. What could I theoretically run dropping 15-20 pounds (35-40 mpw currently)

1.5/10
I ran 20 minutes faster after losing 15 lbs, so 10-25 minutes faster
At about 40 pounds overweight. 1 ibs of fat loss = 1 second faster per mile= 3:29 marathon= 3:12 marathon
3:21-3:23
I'm 40 pounds overweight?

It depends on your build. I'm the same height and only 150lbs.
Work on box jumps and squats to build dynamic speed.

It's two seconds per pound per mile.

My simple weight check has always been, can I drop weight without losing muscle mass? My racing weight is 135 at 5’11”. My healthy weight is 145. I’m a woman. At 135 I look like a concentration camp survivor. At 145 people merely imply I have an eating disorder...
I’m 6’3/192lbs and recently ran 2:39. Height/weight doesn’t tell the full story.
