Saw that Fisher finished 16th in the West Region meet and got beat by one of his teammates. West is one of the deepest region but he was supposed to be a national contender, anyone have any idea what happened?

Probably saving it for nationals where he will be- a national contender.
Running two hard XC 10k races in 9 days is good to avoid if possible. And for him, it is possible.

There was only a 20-second difference between 1st and 25th so none of the top runners were running all out. It seems they were giving the same effort as they do for West Regional track.
All you gotta do is check out results from 2017, 2016, and 2015. He never goes all out at regionals. Morgan McDonald did the same thing
