has anyone run in these? i was thinking of purchasing them through eastbay with the 30% off. i run in nike zoom air milers and was wondering if these would be similar feel. also was considering the gel ds trainer x. any help would be greatly welcomed.

if by similar feel, you mean much better, then yes the speedstar does feel a lot like the miler. The miler is a piece of crap and it wouldn't take much to be a better shoe. Buy the speedstar and star understanding what a good shoe actually feels like.
i wear 10.5 in the miler should i get 10.5 in the speedstar?and any more info would be great.
wouldn't it be great if we could actually try some on in a STORE? But 99% only carry the 13 ouncer monsters. My Speedstars are on the way to me tomorrow and I will let you know about sizing. Everything looks perfect on paper for the ultimate lightweight neutral trainer.

We've carried them and have done quite well with them. Great shoe.
I got mine and ran in them last night. Fantastic is all I can say. They feel very springy, yet very true to the road and obviously no problem with weight at 9 oz. I have been in older Tiger Paws recently, but these shoes made my legs feel much better, without all the direct road pounding the more minimalist shoe creates. They run slightly wide (which I like) like some of the older Gel Lytes from 10 years ago. A very basic design and feel. They are definitely a full size above your street shoe. They feel roomy but have a great lacing system. My legs and tendons felt fantastic today.
what exactly do you mean a full size above street shoe. can you list some shoes that you have with there sizes and then the size of the speedster. i wear 10.5 miler, 10 free 5.0, 10 miler spike, 10 streak xc, 9 h-street.please let me know because i also just got in my speedssters but the were way too big(length) and they were 10.5 what size do you recomend.

in the description they said they were for narrow feet, mine come in a couple days and I hope they are not wide...like the mayfly or something, I threw those pieces of crap away after 2 workouts which ended up being 20% of their total recommended mileage.
So if I wear a 10.5 in just about everything, I got an 11 in the asics nimbus, just cuz it felt a little snug with a 10.5 what size should I get for the speedstars? need help on this, would like to purchase a pair soon! Thanks
rat, I always wore size 10 in recent vintages of Cumulus and Landreth, and more recently the smaller TigerPaw from Asics. The fit on speedstar is just a tiny tad larger, but not enough to cut back a half size. Size 10 in speedstar works for me.
