Hello,
I am a first-year college track athlete and am looking suggestion for a shoe that would work well for me. I am primarily for 60-200m sprint events.
I'm not looking a shoe to sprint in of course - that is what track spikes are for. I am looking for a lightweight and responsive shoe (preferably Nike) that will do well for speed training where I do not want to wear sprint spikes, typically multiple sets of quick 200-400m flys, possibly up to 800m. In past seasons I have used Nike Flex 2016s simply because I found a pair on sale and they were all I had, but now that I'm at the collegiate level I want to maximize my training and those simply aren't going to cut it. After some research I'm interested in the Nike Streak 6s and Nike Streak LT4s because they seem to both have a good reputation as light responsive shoes; however, they are marketed to a long distance/marathon audience. Are they suitable for my type of training? What is the difference between these two shoes? And finally, are there any other shoes you guys would recommend?
Thank you in Advance,
