I have recently come into possession of a used treadmill. I live in apartment that is the ground-floor of a two story house, and some other people live upstairs.
I have a small, spare room and that is where I put it. From outside the room, it doesn't seem like it's too loud. I let it run without me on it, and it's not louder than my washing machine, and certainly it's quieter than a vacuum cleaner.
But I still want to make sure it's not disturbing the neighbours too much when I run on it.
Does anyone have any tips for soundproofing the room, preferably in an inexpensive way, and a way in which I don't need to do major construction on the room? I don't need it to be completely soundproof, just looking to dampen the noise to some degree.
