Hard to wrap my head around this kinda effort. It's redefining what athletes are capable of mentally just as much as they are physically. I'll be the one to say it, and I am a huge fan, how long can Courtney pull off efforts like this? I just hope she doesn't blow up, literally, because she's incredible. I feel like every other month she's doing some insanely epic distance and effort. She's been on a tear the last 2 years.
I have no words, ok maybe a few wrote:

I sent an email message to Joe Rogan on his podcast site, hoping that someone on the staff would notify him of this race.
If he was following, I would hope that he would contact Courtney and invite her back on the show. That would be an awesome interview.
Come on, people. This is letsrun. Isn't anyone going to say "Courtney goes home devastated" and talk about what a loser she is?

It doesn't have to be stated, just participating in an event like this the "loser" part is clearly implied.
That's my bad. I realized that after I started the thread but obviously couldn't edit it and it didn't seem too relevant anyway.
Congrats to Johan. Seems like my guess that once 3rd dropped it would soon be over was correct. I don't know why Courtney stopped yet but once it was down to two people it seemed like ti would end soon. Word on the street was that Johan was maxing out his sleep, literally falling asleep immediately as he got into his chair after each lap. A few minutes extra each hour must have helped him eventually win.
It took 283.3 miles to win this year. That's not even Laz's longest race as his Vol State 500k goes across the entire state of Tennessee.
Yeah but VolState doesn't have elimination every hour if you haven't gone far enough, and you can actually sleep for a while in the middle of it if you like.

Is she even a runner?
If she showed up at the local Turkey Trot 5k would she even place in her age group?
Never heard of her, so I'm honestly asking.
She would've completed 6 extra laps in the Vaporfly 4%
This is only somewhat related but does anyone have any idea what day(s) the Barkley 2019 could start?

It's always right around April Fool's Day, because, well, Laz. But 'right around' is relative. The race was a week before 4/1 last spring.
this is just unfathomable to me. a testament to all that is possible within the human spirit
Anyone mocking Court's achievement is clearly jealous. Enjoy your easy oval runs, us ultra runners will pick up the slack.

She ran 50 5ks in one day last year averaging 28:43!!
She’ll be burnt out and develop OTS within the next year. Another one bites the dust.
