Immigration is a great excuse for a mismanaged economy, high crime rates, housing crises and service failures. Scapegoating foreigners leads to a pliant governable (divided) populace and broader social discrimination against non-immigrants. Immigrants are Governments' best friends and that's why they (hypocritically) open up borders against the will of the electorate.

"Labor shortage" is a myth. What really leaves jobs unfilled is that employers feel entitled to have applicants that meet their requirements right off the bat, instead of training them. They're spoiled and cheap.
Look at countries that encourage immigration (like the US) to see what they're really after.
Employers don't train employees because they know they will leave in a year or two. They will not get the return on their investment.
Speaking of which, why are so many college grads showing up without any resemblance of the necessary skills after paying colleges the equivalent of the value of a family home, in some cases (and many of these colleges are still heavily subsidized by taxpayers). That is the real scam.

Yah because employers don't provide any incentive for employees to stay long term. Pensions are non-existent in the private sector & raises are sh!t.

Japan is smart.
Japan has the oldest population in the world with 26% aged 65 or older. So a large portion of the population is unproductive and uses a disproportionate share of government resources. Japanese millennials, like their counterparts in the US, have decided not to reproduce.
The Japanese may not want to taint the "purity" of their culture but without more younger workers their economy will continue to stagnate and eventually decline.
Immigrants bring energy and new ideas. In the US immigrants have higher rates of new business formation than native born. Silicon Valley is the greatest wealth producing engine in the history of the world, and it was built in a culture that embraced risk and diversity.

When corporations really want to hire individuals, individuals are offered (3 to 5) yr. contracts.

Nonsense. All the employers in an industry pay more when they have to compete for skilled workers. It does no good for a company to try to trim its budget by not training; then they all do it and they all end up screwed.
But I'm also talking about the positions with wildly unrealistic requirements for experience, education and certifications. If they can't find anybody, then they need to fire whoever tried to create the position in the first place for wasting their time money on a failed project. That's the terrible investment.
Small landmass countries must control population growth.
Exporting humans and increased robot production makes sense.
For all those who see Japan as their model of racial purity, you should know that on many levels it is a very screwed up country. Saying that their lack of crime is because of racial purity would be very inaccurate. The two biggest reasons are (until recently) a giant middle class and a general lack of poverty. The second reason is intense societal pressure to conform. While this pressure contributes to a low crime rate it also leads to one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Japan is not your racial nirvana.

Very true. On top of an extremely sexist mindset coupled with an even more extreme group of asexuals. Many people do not date, have sex, or socialize. It is very clean but definitely not some utopia we should aspire to. We as Americans have a lot more free will.

Correct, losers of conflict tend to feel this way about their opponents. You have an excellent grasp of the obvious.

Reading how civil & progressive it is in country's like Japan really hits me hard. The contrast with what America is becoming is frightening.

As someone who has worked and live in Japan , and North America . Japan's immigration policy is the only way to move forward. Everyone in the world knows that America will take the burden of have not countries , and American policies are rigged to keep low/middle class down .

I will tell you this, if the Japanese Prime Minister saw the Don Lemon and his panel (Bakari Sellars and the 2 women) answering Tucker Carlson's question is diversity a strength? He would very likely embrace Diversity as would the people of Japan.

I'd rather have this situation in Japan plus a nuclear holocaust on top of that vs this crap we call "diversity" in America. America is disgusting!!

The Japan leadership would never make decisions for its population based on an American entertainment magazine program. Japan's strength is the purity of its population, no need to dilute with a bunch of people already unhappy with their own native country.
Having lived in Japan for 3 years, I concluded it tolerates a lot of open racism. A prime example is the general distain for Koreans. Koreans living in Japan are not considered citizens, even if they are born there. I worked in a Japanese school and saw Koreans treated very badly by native Japanese. That's not to say all Japanese think this way. I met some who thought it was wrong, but understood the reasoning.
One thing that I think the majority of Japanese won't tolerate is open immigration. As already mentioned, they believe it dilutes the native Japanese blood pool and many worry about inter-race relationships. They worry about ghettos of immigrants bringing crime to Japan, which is still an amazingly safe country despite the size of the population. The term they used for all foreigners was "henna gaijin (strange foreigner).
When I was there in the 90's, there were illegal Iranians congregating in Tokyo parks and this freaked out the Japanese population who were not use to seeing hundreds of mostly men altogether. There were daily reports in the papers about petty crimes they committed and debates over whether they should be allowed to stay - I believe they were ultimately kicked out of the country.
I did like Japan, but it was much too homogenous for my liking and it made me appreciate the richness, diversity and cultural awareness that different cultures bring to their country of immigration.
The Japanese are a disciplined, highly educated, and hard-working people. They are fully aware of the consequences of letting "desperates" into their society.
All you end up with is ethnic ghettos and a hefty kickstart to a generation of welfare claimants who require a lifetime of charity and concessions just to get by.
