what's the verdict? race experience kind of important to the eval
it sure looks like the HS7 and price is "acceptable" but why is the weight so much higher which would ruin the whole benefit?

I have the 451 and it's fine - don't love the BOA lacing and it's way too small - size up a half, if not a whole, size.
wait so the sizing on the 451 is actually different than the HS7?
they didn't use the same molds?
(specifically looking for people with both 451 and HS7 experience to compare)
I find the sizing to be no different. I don't love the BOA lacing but I have not found anything better to replace the HS which has been my race shoe forever. So I will run NYC in the 451.

thanks for that (and good luck @ NYC !!!)
I wonder if anyone who has worn hyperspeed has tried Brooks Hyperion, because they sure look similar and the brooks is light (though not as light as HS)
see the sole shape and the rubber, it's like brooks was copying asics or visa-versa

The 451 fits my foot, sizing up 1/2. I would prefer if ASICS kept the ds racer in play with the 10mm drop. I returned the ts7 , they would fit if your foot was pointy. ASICS is going in the wrong direction .

Hyperion has a 10mm drop, so that's a nonstarter.
any other opinions out there?
Sure wish Asics would just bring back the Hyperspeed. Great shoe.
