Rotterdam Marathon- Garmin Connect Elevation Gain

Not sure exactly what you're after. You say GC is the best of the lot, and then you give an elevation gain for Chicago +/- 50%.

Thanks for the help. It is the best of the lot. Let me break this down for you. Strava says over 300 feet for Chicago. Obviously Chicago has a wider range than the others because of GPS issues and bridges.

Any helpful replies greatly appreciated.

I thought that I had about 140 feet just for the half marathon in Houston. I’ll double check. I don’t know the second half of the Houston Marathon course, but the half marathon seemed just very slightly more “hilly” than Chicago. The Buffalo Bayou situation miles 10-12 maybe.

I just checked my Garmin data and I had 121 feet of elevation gain just for the half in Houston. Even if we double that for the full, it’s still pretty minimal though. Although perhaps there are some “hills” on the back half of the marathon.

I’m also considering Rotterdam and Paris. Would be cool to hear from folks who have run those courses.

I have heard that Berlin is approximately 320 feet of gain.

Like which ones? We are talking just total gains here not net. I've never heard of a marathon with only 120' of elevation gain. Sounds like Berlin is somewhere between 300 - 400'
