Sounds like your max heart rate is 179.

First of all an elevated resting heart rate is a sign of overtraining, not a low one. 40-45 is quite normal for a serious runner. If it suddenly raises to 60 for a longer time (not just one day with stress or bad sleep ir after alcohol abuse) that might be illness ir overtraining.

Regarding your max heart rate you usually won't reach it in an 8 k race. You can measure it at the end of a mile race or a couple of hard hill sprints though. I think yours might be around 185, there is nothing wrong with that. There are some people with 200+, but max heart rate is highly individual and decreases with age.

My resting heart rate is 50 and my endurance is really low I can't even break 7 in the mile and I'm not sure if I can jog a 5K or slow down to a walk. Does RHR correlate well with endurance?

Easy answer, everyone has a unique HR... You should only worry about your pattern over time, not about individual races.

If you want to know your max HR, go and run 800m as hard as you can, have a 60 second break and do it again. You’ll reach your max.

I just did this 800m run and.my maximum HR is 194 thanks

Lower then normal HR at rest can be a sign of overtraining. Parasympathetic overtraining. Look it up
