30:39! at the Reebok Boston Women’s 10k (formerly Tufts Health Plan 10k for women). Is this course certified? This would eclipse Shalane’s road record of 30:52 if legit.

Wow, flat but legit course.
That is fast.
Why is there not more talk about this? I guess people would rather bash Gwen Jorgensen's sub-par race. That should definitely be the American record as long as the certification remains current. Molly Huddles's result from 2015 is considered the women's only record.
Dave Monti tweeted the course was 300 yards short
300 METERS short due to altered, turnaround.

Why state how short a 10k course was in yards?

Oh well. Still a solid time.
OP, you'll get more traction if you start of with [$persons_name] goes home DEVASTATED!!!1
in this case, that would be Shalane Flanagan and her prior 10K American road record. Please do the needful
Too bad somebody put the turnaround cone in the wrong place. How hard can that be after 30 years?

She only dates sub 28 guys I bet.
Can somebody extrapolate the 300 meters for her pace?

Diriba must have had an off day? Sisson may be in shape but she should not have beat the Eth' by that much. Especially after taking the pace the whole race.
Off day my a s s, Sisson almost beat her in the new york half marathon earlier this year ( lost by 1 second). It was just a matter of time, and Sisson used to be Huddle's under study. And Huddle beat the africans three years in a row in NYC, and last year Sisson came in second to Huddle.
This is no fluke, my friend. Sisson is going to be the next great american distance runner. She will probably focus on 10000m for the olympic trials, but I wouldn't surprised if she moved up to the marathon next year.

Even if it is a little short, that's still a noteworthy performance.
This is no fluke,"
I didn't say it was...and I did say Sisson was "in shape." Direba did her thing not sharing the pace and it didn't work this time.
She's too talented to lose by.33 that's all. Congrats to Emily. It isn't easy with someone on your heals for 6-miles who has 4:13 speed.
300m at 5:20/mi is 60 seconds
at 5:00/mi it's about 56 seconds.
at 4:48/mi it's 54 seconds
but I'm sure it wasn't EXACTLY 300 meters short. so you can probably add a minute and call it a good estimate. still well under 32 minutes which is great for a road 10k
If they knew it was short, why didn't they add to it? If they didn't know, why didn't they know and when didn't they know it?
Emily Sisson is an amazing talent. Loving it! Go Friars!
