yes, 30 - maybe 40 seconds faster than anyone else. So far, again, Chmiel looks closest though Hart may the there as well.
Others are running well but Tuohy is in a different league.

Here is an interview with her after NXN with an interview who isn't spazzing out:

Her interview skills seem to have plateaued since that very moment.
She's probably asked the same dumb questions over and over when she really just wants to be asked about Kavanaugh, Tesla, Trump, Global Warming, etc.

Most Boys and Girls from South had a terrible day, other regions had wide disparity but to me the huge improvements by some in the West, NE and MW tells me there is no way the Nationals course was terribly hard, nor the conditions that difficult. I am guessing the large number of bad performances at 2001 Nationals artificially lifted those speed ratings.
The West runs its regionals on the very hilly 5k course at Mt SAC which usually runs about 1 minute slower than the Footlocker course. Dunno if this helps your argument but thought I’d throw that in there.

An amazing performance! Watching that video I still marvel over her running mechanics compared to most females near her age: Tuohy has long, elastic stride length that indicates significant core strength and flexibility in the hips, lower back, and abs. Very rare to see in a female that age with muscular coordination and balance. She also runs efficiently with low knee lift, and rock steady, in-line arm swing.
She could rewrite every HS female distance record for a generation the way she is running.
This was the first thing I noticed when she gained my attention. Her fantastic mechanics cannot be overstated.
I linked a video above from her running in 7th grade and her fluid stride and natural ability just jumps out at you
Here is a vid of her breaking 5:00 at the Armory as a 7th grader. Doesn't look like too much has changed in her mechanics.

I'm going make another bold post:
Unless Rupp runs under 2:06 tomorrow or Gwen runs under 2:23, KT has the performance of the weekend AND one of the races of the year, high school through pros.
Rupp got that 2:06. So......?
Are you sure Rupp got the sub-2:06? The online results show only the four guys in front of Rupp breaking 2:06, and Rupp coming in back with 2:06:21? Is is there a gun/chip adjustment that brings him under?
The Midwest regional in 2001 had very muddy and slow conditions.

No, I meant Tuohy is 30 seconds better than anyone else EVER. Not just this year.
I'll be at Sunken Meadow watching her 'tempo' a new course record (breaking Aisling Cuffe's 17:45) this Saturday morning. Boots will be on the ground. I'll stick around as the next morning there will be a 6 Hour Run held at same location which I'll take a stab at.

??? I thought you were in someplace more exotic than Long Island.

17:45? Does Sunken Meadow run even slower than Holmdel?

Just visiting, but great timing getting to see Katelyn in action. I wasn't even going to go until I saw she might be running as last year's results indicated that this isn't an invitational that attracts a stellar field. And as far as how difficult S Meadow is in relation to Holmdel, I'm not sure. But S Meadow has a couple of serious inclines and always ran slow for me.
Sunken Meadow is slower than Holmdel - maybe ten seconds or so?

At least...I think this was debated ad nauseam on the old dyestat board. Some might say closer to 30 seconds slower. Really not enough data of NY kids racing at Holmdel. I ran both courses in high school and would say Sunken Meadow is much harder.

I’ve have raced on both courses and my opinion is that Sunken Meadow is slower because the ground is not as hard as Holmdel. It is grass grown on sand.
She might prove to be 30 seconds faster than anyone ever this season, but I don't think she has shown it yet. For example, that would take a 16:09 at Balboa Park. She might very well be able to do it, but her (very strong) performances so far don't seem to be quite that good. But I have no doubt she would be 16:20 to 16:25 at worst this season for Balboa Park.
This result is the best effort by a female hs er ever.
CBA is regularly ranked in boys top ten and this would almost always make it inside their top five based on Holmdel prs.
Also would translate to 13;10 or so at Vanny
It is a complete horror show performance especially for her first race over a course with done nuances to it.
