So I just got a Garmin, which told me that I averaged 154 spm for my long run yesterday. This is the first time in all of my running that I've known my cadence (I'm 24, ran inconsistently in college as an 800/mile runner) since I wasn't really a believer in tech. My long run was a moderate 11 miles at 6:59 pace where I'm 6'2 and always had a long stride. Is my cadence too slow? I thought that "conventional wisdom" said that your stride length should be more like 170-180 especially for elite runners.
