Oh yeah, I think it would start getting tough around the halfway mark....
seriously though...
in prime just over 10000m
now, 3, maybe 4 steps

800-1200m. Yup...
Close to 2k I’d say if I have my best day 18-1900m on avg though
In my prime, 800m.
Now, 400-500m
I still can't figure how it's possible to run a marathon on a 2'53/km pace.

In my peak probably about 4000m. Mile Pr is only 4:30 though
I'm a (mediocre) sprinter, so could easily make 200m, think 400m would be tough but just doable. If I trained specifically for it for a few months, probably 500m, haha.
4k, maybe 5 with a downhill/tailwind.
Two of his world class pacers tapped out at 15K and the other tapped out at 25K!
I would make it 400m.
800m

In my prime I could do a 4:33 mile and a 9:40 2 mile, so just a bit more than a mile when I was in that shape.
When I first got into distance running, it was a big deal if world-class athletes like Frank Shorter or Bill Rodgers ran a marathon at or just under 5 minutes per mile. As impressive as that was at the time, that at least seemed doable to me, meaning something that was in the realm of possibility, even for me if I kept training and training (It wasn't, but I tried). But 4:38 per mile for a marathon? That's something I can't even get my head around; it's like an extraterrestrial came down from outer space and won the Berlin Marathon.
You thought running with Rodgers and Shorter was "doable"? With a 9:40 2-mile PR you would been maxed out just after the 2-mile mark. The rest of the race would have been absolutely miserable for you.
Prime: Just over a mile, maybe 1700 or 1800m.
Now: 400-500m
I would guess I could do 800 m in 2:19 and maybe a bit more. Definitely can’t run a 4:38 mile right now (or ever).
At peak fitness somewhere between 2 miles and 5k.
Right now I could probably gut out one mile but it would hurt like hell.

I was reading this and 4:38 just hit me hard in the face. That’s an amazing time. Prolly no more than 100 to 200 women in the world can run that time. Ayana can probably hang with him for around 10k
I started reading this thread and taking a drink every time someone posted;
- back in the day
- in my prime
- at my peak
I was too drunk to continue after the first page.
I can still throw down a 4:30 mile - I think I could make it to 2 with a gun held to my head, 3 not possible. In my prime through 5k and change.

In my prime, I would of held on for 35k. That is not a misprint.
If I went head-to-head with a clean Kipchoge... it'd be 50/50 for the win.
Learn English , then bs us .
I'm Japanese. This is the best I can do.
Right now, somewhere between 2k and 2400.
If you think this guy is clean I have some penny stocks I'd like to sell you.
800 meters tops
